Shanghai travelogue 3

It was last Shanghai travelogue. I will write a memorable and delicious food that I ate. I write a Dimsum, Jiaozi, Egg tart, Tangyuan and Hot pot.
Dimsum have a wide variety of dishes. I was usually eating gao. Gao is a standard in most teahouses. It is made of ingredients wrapped in a translucent rice flour or wheat starch skin, and is different from jiaozi found in other parts of China.
Jiaozi typically consist of a ground meat and/or vegetable filling wrapped into a thinly rolled piece of dough, which is then sealed by pressing the edges together or by crimping. Gao and Jiaozi was very cheap and spread out on street. So I usually eat them.
Egg tart or egg custard tart is a pastry commonly found in Hong Kong and other Asian countries. The tarts consist of an outer pastry crust that is filled with egg custard and baked. Lillian Egg tart was so popular. In the morning, I ate it as breakfast. But there was no store in Korea. So I miss it.
Tangyuan is a Chinese food made from glutinous rice flour. Glutinous rice flour is mixed with a small amount of water to form balls and is then cooked and served in boiling water. It is traditionally eaten during Yuanxiao, or the Lantern Festival. I ate it in Yuyuan. It was a very sweet and chewy.

Chuanr or Yangrouchuan is the most popular Xinjiang dish in China. It was chunks of mutton pierced on metal skewers, grilled on a coal-fired barbecue, and served with cumin and chili paste. It was too expensive for me, so I was treated to it by teacher.
Hot pot, commonly Chinese fondue or steamboat, refers to several East Asian varieties of stew. While the hot pot is kept simmering, ingredients are placed into the pot. Typical hot pot dishes include thinly sliced meat, leafy vegetables, mushrooms, wontons, egg dumplings, and seafood. The cooked food is usually eaten with a dipping sauce. The soup base just wasn't to my taste. But the ingredients, remove from the soup base, were dipped in source, it was delicious. China's food was perfect to my taste. So sometimes I remember the food.

Traveling overseas has really helped to broaden my horizons. This tour overseas has been the most impressive experience that I have ever experienced. I was traveled here and there, I enjoyed every minute of my stay in Shanghai. I will never forget the time.

Shanghai travelogue 2

It was second Shanghai travelogue. And I am writing continuing. Cifu is similar to Korea’s Dongdaemun shopping mall.
Yuyuan is considered one of the most lavish and finest Chinese gardens in the region. In front of Yuyuan, there were many shops. I was enjoyed shopping there.
Century Park is the largest park in Shanghai. When I went to there, I rode a tandem bicycle with my group friend.
IKEA is a privately held, international home products Swedish corporation that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, appliances and home accessories. There was a restaurant on the 2nd floor. The food look delicious, but I did not have enough money to eat. It was inconvenienced by not having in Korea. My father likes to do the shopping. So I hope that it is built in Korea.
Byeongeom is performing a fast-changing face. This is a part of Sichuan opera (Chuanju). It was truly amazing and I could not believe my eyes. If you see in front of the performance, you can't believe it.
Taikang Lu is an arts and crafts street. Taikang Lu is today a major tourist attraction and has more than 200 diverse small businesses such as cafes, restaurants, art galleries, craft stores, design houses and studios. There were all kinds of cute stuff, so I bought several gifts.
Zhouzhuang is a popular tourist destination. It is one of the most famous water townships in China, noted for its profound cultural background, the well preserved ancient residential houses, the elegant watery views and the strong local colored traditions and customs. It has been called the “Venice of the East”. The landscapes are wonderful, so I took a lot of picture. Especially I think that the night view was more beautiful. I ate many foods in the travel. In the last travelogue, I will write a memorable and delicious food that I ate.

Shanghai travelogue 1

I went to China while summer vacation. I have wanted to travel abroad since a long time ago. It was my first overseas trip and everything made me wonder. This being my first trip overseas, I'm all in a flurry, what with packing and everything. My heart throbbed with excitement at the thought of traveling abroad. I went to Shanghai. Shanghai is the second largest city in China. I stayed Shanghai for a month. In fact, I went Shanghai to study Chinese. So I lived in Donghua University dormitory and studied in International Cultural Exchange School. In the morning, I studied Chinese in class. In the afternoon, I went sightseeing here and there in Shanghai with my group. For a month, I went to many places. I went to Shanghai museum and Nanjinglu, Pudong, Oriental Pearl Tower, The Bund, Cifu, Yuyuan, Century park, IKEA, Byeongeom, EXPO, The People´s Plaza, Taikanglu, Shanghai circus, Zhouzhuang Town and so on.
Shanghai museum is very big. The museum has a collection of over 120,000 pieces, including bronze, ceramics, calligraphy, furniture, jades, ancient coins, paintings, seals, sculptures, minority art and foreign art. So I was not enough to see everything.
Nanjing road is similar to Korea’s Myeong-dong. There is one of the world's busiest shopping streets. So there were many interesting spectacle.
Pudong is a district of Shanghai. Pudong is home to the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone, the Shanghai Stock Exchange, and a skyline that includes the symbolic Oriental Pearl Tower, the Jin Mao Building.

The Oriental Pearl Tower belongs to the World Federation of Great Towers. The Tower attracts over three million visitors each year. So I was waiting in line to get in an elevator. I became tired. But the view from there was magnificent. The bund and Pudong are on opposite sides of Huangpu River.
The Bund is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Shanghai. The Bund houses 52 buildings of various architectural styles. I went many places besides above-mentioned place. So I will write continuously next journal.
